Welcome to my very first time joining the Kre8tors Blog Hop. The theme for this month is techniques. I have been playing around with different backgrounds, getting inky and enjoying the process.

Both of these cards use a simple technique to create the background, but the different cardstock finishes change the overall effect. I used Stampin’ Markers to scribble onto an acrylic block. I then sprayed the block a few times to blend the ink. I then ‘stamped’ the block firstly onto a piece of whisper white cardstock.

The colours that I used were Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Pear Pizazz. They produce a very soft subtle when used on Whisper white, a perfect backdrop for these little cuties from the NEW Free as a Bird stamp set.

For the next card I followed the same process but ‘stamped’ the background onto watercolour paper and allowed the colours to run. The finish is a bit more vibrant than the previous card. I used the pretty Dandelion Wishes stamp set to make a simple card allowing the colours to take centre stage.
I hope that you enjoyed hopping with me today and I would love to hear what you think by leaving a comment (at top of blog post).
I’m going to grab a coffee and join you on the hop, and now it’s time to visit Laura’s Lovely blog by clicking on the next button below. If you get lost at any stage, the complete list of blogs can be found below.
